Dominik Bíman School 2008
From Oct. 6 - 9, 2008 the 8th year of the Dominik Biman School run over at the Higher Glass School and Secondary School Nový Bor under the auspices and leading of an outstanding glass engraver and medallist Acad. Sculptor Jiří Harcuba. Before the Dominik Biman had taken place in various sites both in the Czech Republic and abroad. 2006 its 6th year passed in our glass school at Kamenický Šenov. Its goal is to support the interest in glass engraving. This event passed off in the glass school facilities and its participants tried on both the traditional engraving technique and vitrography - print from a glass plate. The School was inspired by an outstanding engraver of the first half of the 19th century Dominik Biman, in his time allowed to be the best portrait engraver. This year was themed by important female personalities. In the event two students of the engraving department of our school Michaela Trojanová and Adéla Blažková participated.
