Chinese delegation at the SUPŠS Kamenický Šenov.
Invited by SUPŠS Kamenický Šenov, a group of Chinese students and teachers headed by Prof. Wang from the Tsinghua University Beijing (Ceramics, Glass and Design Studio) and Prof. Huang from the Polytechnic School Shenzhen (Art and Design Department) visited the Czech Republic in August 24 –30, 2011. The whole stay was under the patronage of the SUPŠS. The Chinese delegation visited Prague, the international glass exhibition IGF and the Moser Glassworks Co. in Carlsbad as well as the St. Barbara Church and the ossuary in Kutná Hora. The Chinese guests saw also the historical glass collections of the Jablonec n.N., Nový Bor and Kamenický Šenov glass museums. They spent also interesting moments visiting the AJETO Glassworks Lindava, the Design Bystro studio in Kamenický Šenov and the St. Libenský Gallery in Železný Brod. Finally they visited the studio of Acad. Painter Petr Menš, a SUPŠS pedagogue and the head of the painting department and then they could see the school. There they met teachers of the school and with Acad. Painter František Janák, the deputy headmaster, saw classrooms, workshops and the school gallery.
For the whole time of their stay in the Czech Republic, the Chinese delegation was alternately assompanied by the pedagogues of our school Mgr.A. Petr Stacho, Dagmar Pánková, Tomáš Sieber and Rudolf Kment. The complete Chinese groups was very satisfied with their stay. They especially appreciated the quality of works of the SUPŠS Kamenický Šenov students. In the end Prof. Huang expressed his wish to co-operate closely with our school in the form of mutual study visits of both teachers and students. Several Chinese students directly expressed their interest to study at our school. This visit followed the previous co-operation between the Tsinghua University and SUPŠS. The stay of the Chinese delegation was co-organized by Zhu Li Yue, a Chinese visiting student, who has visited SUPŠS already for the third time.
