Family Silver – A SUPŠS Kamenický Šenov Exhibition in the Senat of the Parliament of the Czech Republic

In Tuesday on Apr. 12, 2011 there was officially opened an exhibition of students´ works of the SUPŠ Kamenický Šenov in the anteroom of the Senat of the Parliament of the Czech Republic in Prague. The exhibition was hold under the aegis of Senator Mr. Karel Kapoun, by whom it was also opened. The opening speech was given by Mrs. Helena Braunová, the director of the Glass Museum Kamenický Šenov. Among other speakers at the opening there were also Mr. František Kučera, the mayor of Kamenický Šenov, Mr. František Janák, the deputy headmaster of the SUPŠS, Mrs. Eva Bartoňová, the Deputy Minister of Education and Mrs. Helena Königsmarková, the director of the Museum of Applied Arts. Among important guests of the opening there were also Senator Mr. Přemysl Sobotka, Professor Jiří Harcuba, Mr. Petr Novotný, an AJETO glassworks owner, Mr. Milan Hlaveš, a curator of the Museum of Applied Arts, Mr. Jan Sehnal, the headmaster of the Hellich Graphics School, Mr. Jiří Vosecký, the mayor of the Okrouhlá municipality and other personalities. According to the Parliament staff, the number of visitors of the opening set up a new visitor record of the exhibitions, held in the Senat.
