SUPŠS Kamenický Šenov visited by Josef Dobeš, the Minister of Education.
On Tuesday, January 4, 2011 the glass school Kamenický Šenov was visited by the Minister of Education Josef Dobeš with his secretary Mrs. Petra Fryblíková. The minister was accompanied by a group of politicians, e.g. Mr. Jiří Vosecký, the mayor of Okrouhlá, who organized the event, representatives of the trade unions Mr. Jaroslav Zavadil, Mrs. Markéta Vondráčková and Mrs. Alena Losová, Mr. Martin Půta, the mayor of Hrádek n.N., Mr. Petr Skokan, M.P. and representatives of the Kamenický Šenov municipality headed by its mayor Mr. František Kučera. The minister viewed the school workshops, studios as well as the school gallery. The aim of his visit was to express his support to the glass school and officialy announce the intention of taking the administration of the „family silver“ type schools, one of them the SUPŠS Kamenický Šenov has always been considered, into the ministry responsibility. In this way, its future would be secured once for all. The minister will discuss the project with governors in March 2011 and wants to implement it before the school year beginning in September 2011. The visit was followed by a meeting of the minister with invited guests, representatives of the public, mayors of municipalities and students and teachers of the glass school in the Cultural and Educational Centre Kamenický Šenov. The discussion included i.a. the state leaving examination.
