The Liberec Regional Council Turned Down the Proposal of Joining of the Glass Schools!
On November 23, 2010 the Liberec Regional Council at its public meeting turned down the joining of the glass schools, submitted for consideration by Radek Cikl, a deputy education manager ŠMT. 21 members gave their votes against, 15 ones for, 4 abstained. Before the voting numerous politicians as well as public representatives came out against the joining. Among them also Mr. František Kučera, the mayor of the Kamenický Šenov municipality, Mr. František Janák, the former headmaster of the SUPŠS, Mrs. Helena Braunová, the director of the glass museum, Mrs. Kateřina Ditterová, Mr. Vojtěch Starosta, a graduate of the SUPŠS and others. Before the voting, there went a vociferous demonstration of students, teachers, employees, graduates and friends of the school.
