Opening Ceremony of a New Computer Graphics Classroom at the Glass SUPŠ Kamenický Šenov
On September 1, 2010 a new computer graphics classroom was opened at the Glass SUPŠ Kamenický Šenov in the presence of all students, teachers and personnel of the school. The new equipment of the classroom was purchased thanks to a generous financial donation by the Preciosa company. The Preciosa company has been regularly supporting the school through the Preciosa Foundation since 2000. The total amount of the financial support has reached almost one million crowns within the ten years. Among the guests invited to the opening ceremony there were the staff manager of the company Preciosa Lustry Kamenický Šenov Mr. Pavel Brzák and the mayor of Kamenický Šenov Mr. Jaroslav Andrysík, who – together with the school headmaster Mr. František Janák – gave short speaches. The tape was cut by the headmaster and the Preciosa Lustry Kamenický Šenov staff manager. The Preciosa Foundation had supported the purchase of the software equipment for the new classroom already before. The education has been supported by the newest software of AutoCAD, Rhinoceros and Corel. The school keeps at its disposition a complete software packet by Autodesk version 2010 (AutoCAD 2010, AutoCAD Inventor 2010, Autodesk 3ds Max and others.) The Rhinoceros 4.0 programme serves particularly for visualization of designs of lighting assemblies. For common 2D raster or vector graphics processing students use the Corel 14 programme. The Preciosa company helps the school also in rendering of computerized designs. The newly opened computer graphics classroom illustrates the high and permanent interest of the Preciosa company in maintaining and preservation of the glass school in Kamenický Šenov, persisting in improvement and modernizing its education.
