Contemporary European Glass Sculpture Exhibition "Connections"

On Wednesday, May 6, 2009 a contemporary European glass sculpture exhibition Connections was opened in the Prague gallery Mánes. The exhibition shows works by 74 artists from all over Europe, chosen by curators from 7 countries. Among the artists, there are 42 Czechs and 32 foreigners. Our glass school is represented by works of our former students and former and present teachers: Bohumil Eliáš, Klára Horáčková, Josef Marek, Ivan Mareš, Alena Matějková, Leoš Smejkal, Jiří Šuhájek, Marián Volráb, René Roubíček, Vladimír Klein, Pavel Werner and František Janák. A part of the exhibition forms a display of glass schools, where the SUPŠS Kamenický Šenov is represented by its students´ works.
