Trip to Spain

In the early April of the year students of our School could visit sights of Spain. The School organized a nine-days trip to Catalonia. In the journey also a students group from the Glass School Nový Bor took part. The accommodation was booked in a seaside resort Lloret del Mar. From there we made day outings to Barcelona, Gerona, Figueres and to the Monserat monastery. The schedule included exhibitions of famous Catalan artists Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró and Salvator Dalí. In the Barcelona National Museum we saw among others transferred frescos from Romanesque churches in Pyrenees. We visited both modern and historical urban parts, i.a. Gothic parts of Gerona and Barcelona including the renowned cathedrals. An integral part of the sightseeing was represented by Antoni Gaudí´s architecture - Sagrada familia, the Güell gardens, Casa Milá, Casa Batló and others.
